Site preparation moves a planned 90,000-square-foot campus toward a new chapter for students and families in Hyde Park.
St. John’s Episcopal Parish Day School is advancing its long-planned South Tampa campus redevelopment, a significant investment in educational facilities for the Hyde Park community. An August 28 report in the Tampa Bay Business Journal highlighted plans for a 90,000-square-foot building and playing field, with the school targeting the 2028–2029 academic year.
The school’s summer updates describe site preparation and utility work as the next steps toward construction. Barr & Barr began alley preparation to enable TECO to relocate overhead utility cables underground. The school also reported $12.5 million in fundraising commitments and outlined plans to manage access, parking, and construction activity while classes continue.
InVision Advisors is serving as the school’s project manager. The school confirmed that InVision is working with its Board of Trustees and Barr & Barr on preconstruction planning, scheduling, and coordination with jurisdictional partners and utility providers.
The 2026 activity marks a new phase beyond the redevelopment plans first announced in 2023. For students, families, and neighbors, the project combines the promise of modern learning spaces with the practical work of building within an active urban school community.
