Now is your chance to honor your favorite community hero while raising money for a good cause.
SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla — The Tampa Rotary is gearing up for its big Flag for Heroes event. This year, organizers are inviting people to support all community heroes be it veterans, law enforcement, family members, teachers and more. Sponsors can purchase a 6-foot flag for any personal hero they wish. It is then planted at the Hillsborough Veterans Memorial Park in each hero’s honor and the sponsor receives a commemorative tag as well. The flags will be on display from Nov. 11-13. There are 200 flags in all. The money raised will go towards helping children and family groups in Tampa Bay. For more information on how to sponsor a hero visit FlagsForHeroesTampa.org.
